Zero Company Species Guide — Playable Operatives
The playable species in STAR WARS Zero Company — the options reported for your custom operators, from Humans and Togruta to Rodians and Neimoidians, and how customisation works.
Part of what makes Zero Company your company is building your own operators — and that starts with species. Alongside the authored cast, you recruit and create custom operatives from a diverse range of galaxy peoples.
How many species are there?
There’s a small wrinkle in the public numbers. Official summaries describe eight playable species, while more detailed reporting lists ten. The exact final count may be tuned before launch, but the intent is clear: a varied, galaxy-spanning roster rather than a wall of identical Humans.
The reported species
Detailed reporting points to the following options:
- Human
- Togruta
- Twi’lek
- Zabrak
- Mirialan
- Devaronian
- Weequay
- Rodian
- Ovissian
- Neimoidian
That spread covers a lot of Star Wars’ most recognisable peoples and gives your squad real visual variety.
Species, class and customisation
Species is one layer of a deeper customisation system. Each operator you create is also assigned one of the eight standard classes, and you tailor their look at the Den’s customisation terminals. Droids occupy their own lane via the Astromech exotic class, with R4, R2, R3 and BR-1 chassis.
We’ll confirm the final species list and any mechanical differences between species as the details are locked ahead of launch.
