The Den
Your Base of Operations
The Den is the hub of STAR WARS Zero Company — a base of operations between missions with an infirmary, black-market vendor, memorial wall, galactic news, recruitment and the holo-map mission select.
Out there it's the war. In here it's the company.
Every good tactics campaign needs a place to breathe between fights, and in Zero Company that place is the Den. It’s your base of operations — the hub where the company regroups, repairs and plans its next move — and the developers have clearly designed it to feel atmospheric rather than purely administrative.
What’s in the Den
The Den bundles the campaign’s strategic layer into one location:
- Infirmary — treat operatives wounded in the field.
- Black-market vendor — buy gear and resources off the books.
- Memorial wall — a sobering record of the operatives you’ve lost.
- Galactic News — Clone Wars events surfacing the wider war, set in 20 BBY.
- Recruitment — bring new operators into the company.
- Customisation and upgrade terminals — develop your squad and equipment.
- Crew conversations — the character moments that build bonds.
- Holo-map — the mission-select interface that sends you back out.
Why the Den matters
The Den is where Zero Company’s “Mass Effect” comparison earns out. The memorial wall and infirmary give weight to permadeath; the recruitment and upgrade terminals turn downtime into strategy; and the crew conversations are where your squad becomes a cast you care about. Time spent in the Den is the connective tissue between the missions on the holo-map.
We’ll detail individual Den facilities further as the game’s systems are fully revealed ahead of launch.
