Blaster Pistols
Sidearms & Dual-Wield Damage
Blaster pistols in STAR WARS Zero Company are fast, flexible sidearms — a reliable backup for most operatives and the dual-wielded signature of the Gunslinger and the Scoundrel's tricks.
Fast, light, and always within reach.
Light, quick and always at hand, the blaster pistol is the most underrated weapon category in STAR WARS Zero Company. For some operatives it’s a backup; for others it’s the entire identity of their playstyle.
What blaster pistols do best
Pistols trade range and per-shot power for speed and flexibility. A sidearm can be fired efficiently after a move, making it ideal for operatives who reposition constantly, and in the hands of a specialist, a pair of them becomes a multi-target threat. Where a sniper rifle pours everything into one kill, dual pistols spread pressure across several weakened enemies in a single turn — exactly what you want when the enemy comes in numbers.
Which operatives carry them
Two classes define the pistol’s role:
- Gunslinger — the dual-pistol duelist. Its entire kit is built around fast, flashy, multi-target turns that only twin blasters enable. If you love high-tempo aggression, this is the pairing to chase.
- Scoundrel — a pistol’s mobility suits the Scoundrel’s hit-and-disrupt style, letting it reposition, fire and still have the action points for a gadget or debuff.
Almost any operative can also carry a pistol as a reliable sidearm for when their primary isn’t the right tool — a Sharpshooter caught at close range, for instance, is glad to have one.
Loadout thinking
Pistols reward aggression and tempo. Build a fast squad around a Gunslinger and you’ll be cleaning up weakened targets and racking up the hits that fuel the squad’s Advantage. The weakness is range and durability: a pistol-focused operative that overextends for a flashy multi-kill can end up stranded in the open, so know the difference between a bold play and a reckless one.
What we don’t know yet
Specific pistol models, dual-wield mechanics and any “fan the hammer” multi-shot abilities haven’t been confirmed. We profile the category here and will add individual weapons as the arsenal is detailed before launch. See the Gunslinger profile for how the class leans on them.
