Sniper Rifles

Long-Range Precision

Sniper rifles in STAR WARS Zero Company deliver decisive long-range damage — the Sharpshooter's tool for removing priority targets before they ever act, rewarding elevation, patience and clean sightlines.

The shot you never hear is the one that wins.

The most powerful action in a turn-based fight is often the one that prevents the enemy from acting at all — and that’s exactly what a sniper rifle delivers. In STAR WARS Zero Company, the sniper rifle is the precision instrument that turns a priority threat into a non-issue before it gets a turn.

What sniper rifles do best

A sniper rifle answers one question better than any other weapon: which enemy do we most need gone, right now? High single-target damage at long range lets you remove an enemy heavy, officer or specialist from across the map — pre-emptive removal that, on harder difficulties, is frequently what keeps your squad intact. It also pairs beautifully with the game’s cover system: a sniper punishing a flanked or exposed target makes the squad’s positioning plays pay off in full.

The cost is setup. Range and elevation are everything, and a sniper that repositions too often never gets the clean shot it wants. The weapon rewards patience and the discipline to hold a sightline while the rest of the squad creates opportunities.

Which operatives carry them

The sniper rifle is the signature weapon of the Sharpshooter — the long-range specialist whose whole kit is built around the decisive shot. The pairing is so natural that the two are almost synonymous. A Sharpshooter with a sniper rifle wants a Scout feeding it vision and a durable anchor holding the ground beneath its perch.

Loadout thinking

Treat a sniper as your answer to the enemy’s most dangerous unit, not as a general-purpose gun. Identify the priority target, set up the angle, and use the Advantage economy to guarantee the shot lands when it matters most. The danger is tunnel vision — a sniper fixated on one corner of the map can be flanked while lining up the perfect shot, so keep an eye on your own exposure.

What we don’t know yet

The specific sniper rifle models, their damage and any “set up to fire” or one-shot mechanics haven’t been confirmed. We profile the category and its role here, and will add individual weapons as the full arsenal is detailed before the August 27, 2026 launch.
