A detailed look at STAR WARS Zero Company has filled in much of how the game is structured — and it’s deeper than a simple “Star Wars XCOM” pitch.

Twelve classes

The game runs eight standard classes — Assault, Heavy, Sharpshooter, Scoundrel, Soldier, Gunslinger, Scout and Medic — that you can assign to any recruit. On top of those sit four exotic classes: the droid-only Astromech, the Jedi Padawan (tied to Tel-Rea Vokoss), the Mandalorian Warrior (tied to Cly Kullervo) and one more. Our full class guide breaks down every one.

A diverse roster

You’ll recruit and create custom operators from a range of playable species — reporting lists options including Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mirialan, Devaronian, Weequay, Rodian, Ovissian and Neimoidian alongside Humans. Droids field via the Astromech class, with R4, R2, R3 and a new BR-1 chassis.

The Den

Between missions you’ll return to the Den, a base of operations with an infirmary, a black-market vendor, a memorial wall, Galactic News set in 20 BBY, recruitment, upgrade terminals and the holo-map mission select. It’s the game’s answer to XCOM’s Avenger — the strategic and emotional home of your company.
