Zero Company Editions & Pre-Order Guide: Standard vs Deluxe
Standard or Deluxe? A clear breakdown of STAR WARS Zero Company's editions, prices, pre-order bonuses and what's actually worth it before the August 27 launch.
Deciding which version of STAR WARS Zero Company to buy? Here’s a no-nonsense breakdown of the editions, what they cost, and whether the upgrade is worth it.
The editions at a glance
| Edition | PC | Consoles | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $49.99 | $59.99 | The full game |
| Deluxe | $59.99 | $69.99 | Extra cosmetic packs + painted weapon themes |
The key thing to know: the Deluxe Edition is purely cosmetic. It adds no missions, classes or gameplay content — just extra looks for your squad and weapons.
Pre-order bonus (all editions)
Every pre-order, Standard or Deluxe, includes the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack: an R3 droid, translucent astromech heads for the R4 and R5 variants, and a BR-1 droid. If you plan to run an Astromech, it’s a nice thematic extra. See our astromech droids guide.
Which should you buy?
- Get Standard if you mainly care about the game itself. You lose nothing mechanically.
- Get Deluxe if you love customising your squad and want the extra cosmetic variety from day one.
Should you pre-order at all?
Pre-ordering locks in the Crystalline pack, but there’s no rush-to-buy pressure on a single-player game — you can wait for launch reviews without missing out on content. Zero Company is a new IP from a young (if XCOM-pedigreed) studio, so if you’re cautious, waiting for impressions is perfectly reasonable. For the full release rundown, see our release date guide.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the Standard and Deluxe editions of Zero Company?
The Deluxe Edition costs $10 more and adds extra cosmetic packs and painted weapon themes. The gameplay is identical; the difference is purely cosmetic.
Is the Zero Company Deluxe Edition worth it?
Only if you want the extra cosmetics. It adds no gameplay content, so most players are fine with the Standard Edition.
