Soldier
Reliable All-Rounder
The Soldier is Zero Company's dependable backbone — a flexible standard class with no glaring weakness, able to hold a line, trade fire and cover whatever gap the squad needs filled.
Steady. Disciplined. Wherever the plan needs me.
Not every operative needs to be a specialist. The Soldier is Zero Company’s all-rounder — competent at everything, exceptional at nothing, and exactly the steady presence a squad needs when a mission doesn’t go to plan. If the other classes are the edges of your strategy, the Soldier is the part that holds them together.
How the Soldier plays
The Soldier’s value is reliability. Decent damage, decent durability and useful utility mean it can fill almost any role at a moment’s notice — anchor a flank, trade fire across the middle, or escort a Medic to a downed operative. Because it has no glaring weakness, it’s the easiest class to keep alive in the kind of long campaign mission where attrition matters.
That flexibility makes the Soldier the perfect glue in a four-operative squad. It frees your specialists — the Sharpshooter, the Scout, the Scoundrel — to do their narrow jobs well, knowing the Soldier can cover whatever they leave exposed.
Who should pick it
Choose the Soldier if you’re new to Zero Company and want to learn the fundamentals without juggling a specialist’s quirks, or if you’re a veteran who values consistency on a hard mission. It teaches good habits — cover discipline, action-point management, target priority — that transfer to every other class.
As a standard class, the Soldier can be assigned to any recruit, and most squads carry at least one as their dependable core.
